After weeks away from the house of {no} hats, I'm *this* close to being able to share a finish (let alone something!)
Why the sparse summer sewing? While my creative wishlist has certainly jumped a few notches on my priority list (good riddance, bar study!), so has the enjoy-it-while-you-can side of life...
For the next couple weeks, I'll be doing just that ;) (Well, that, and catching up with my four-digit blog reader feed... eep!)
So how do you strike a balance?
linking up with WIP Wednesday :)
That is a lovely beachy quilt!
ReplyDeletebeautiful binding!! Balance is that elusive goal i am always trying to achieve. For me it means prioritizing, evaluating, and reprioritizing. Life seems to constantly shift! Enjoy your "enjoy it while you can" weeks ahead :) That is such a cute beachy, quilty picture!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet beach quilt and beautiful binding! I am not a organized person, so finding balance and planning is difficult for me. I accepted that.
ReplyDeleteI'm so behind on EVERYTHING right now. Emails, rss feed, whatever! It'll all be there when you get back. Life's important, enjoy it while it's happening. :)
ReplyDeleteWIth that said, that binding is so yummy. I can't wait to see what it goes around! :D
Yay for no more study! Enjoy your relaxation time!!
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful quilt on the beach - gorgeous. Life is like that ...just go with the flow. Have a great day.........Marie (mlismore@optusnet.com.au)
ReplyDeletePretty binding!! Looks like you're having an awesome summer (cute quilt and child to boot!) :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful binding! Well done on getting through your study - enjoy your break and I can't wait to see your finish once you've had a chance to breathe and chill out.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous binding! Enjoy your time off :)
ReplyDeleteLove your binding, so Show us the rest LOL
ReplyDeleteThat Reader feed? Do yourself a favor and hit "mark all as read," and move on, trust me. Soak up the last warm sunny days. Winter will be here too soon! (A Dresden quilt on the beach?! It looks like beach umbrellas. I love it!)
ReplyDeleteI love that binding! Sometimes when grad school gets too much I just stay in bed with Netflix and Cheez-its.
ReplyDeleteYay, you're back! Skip the blogs and just go back whenever you need to. I try to read blogs in the morning when I'm eating breakfast, and I sew and blog myself at night. That's just how it works best for me. I hope you are enjoying yourself!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty roll of binding!
ReplyDeleteLooove the colors on your binding. Can't wait to see it finished. Is that cute child yours?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, your balance is right on track. Love that pic of the princess at the beach! And the sweet roll of binding is a treat, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm just super human ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe're loving some beach action right now too! That dresden is the perfect beach blanket! And i can't wait to see what the binding is for, it's delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Laura, hit the mark as read button and forget it!!
I am sooo jealous - of the wonderful binding but more of the beach bum status. I miss the beach!
ReplyDeleteLove your beach quilt! Looks like someone else does too! Enjoy your time on your vacation! I agree the biding is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI don't strike a balance lately it is quilt, quilt, quilt, but I am a teacher and school starts back next week, so it is almost over :(
ReplyDeleteI do what I can, how I can. I try and enjoy the work and the play and most of all those I love.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I thought 150 blog posts were overwhelming LOL. Sometimes you just gotta mark all as read and start over :) Enjoy the summer days. My sewing is few and far between this summer as well. There will be plenty of cold winter days to fill at the machine :)
ReplyDeleteLove the binding sneak peek!
