Fortunately (for my creative sanity), I have managed to scrap together some sewing time as the 2014 Pantone Quilt Challenge (here or here) is coming to a close. Believe it or not, I was going to give feathers a rest until I was asked to fill in for our guild programming on relatively short notice (my new niche). So after piecing this little number as part of my demo...
I couldn't really get radiant orchid off my mind.
Or midnight-purple (my favorite—also, potentially made up—color). I actually had (have) two other concepts for radiant-inspired quilts, but one glance at my work calendar pretty much confirmed neither had a chance of materializing before this Friday's deadline.
Still not certain this one is going to make it, but I like to think it's got a decent shot ;o)
Let the countdown begin!
Love it! great colours.
ReplyDeletethis arrow is just so amazing and Im in love with your colors
ReplyDeleteWhat is that scrumptious background fabric near the feathers of your arrow? Soooo yummy!
ReplyDeleteIn other news, your deadline-pushing sewing stresses me out sometimes. LOL I don't know how you do it! But you always seem to pull it out, so I am gonna trust that this will somehow magically materialize as well. :)
I love where it's going and can't wait to see more of the reveal!
So fun. Love the deep purple at the Peak of the arrow!
ReplyDeleteeverytime I see your tiny tiny pieces I am feeling pretty normal again, lol. good luck with the deadline!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Anne on your deadline work stressing ME out! I'm glad you can handle it! Haha, this is looking fabo of course, bohemian chic!
ReplyDeleteDecent shot, ha! You do amazing things, and this one is so pretty, I'm betting you'll finish in time!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that arrow!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to steal alllllll your fabrics! I'm thinking of saving some scraps from my AMH stack to make these arrows with....but then I wouldn't be able to make them right away. Gah the indecision!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always. I totally forgot about the deadline and I have resigned myself to the fact I will not make it in time. There is always next year right!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! There are loads of hours between now and then :)
