But my friends, insofar as I have a plan—a spectrum of gray squares encasing colorful fussy cuts, all arranged in roygbiv—consider me on board!
Looks like the rest of the week will be full of cutting. Much of it fussy :o)

Awesome idea/layout! I haven't jumped on the bandwagon for the same reason (not really my "style") but they are fun to look at. Can't wait to see yours - I can already tell it will be my favorite :)

ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about low volumes and neutral colors for my foray into these blocks as my stash just does not include enough cute little motifs for the fussy cut centers. Your design is lovely! I am sure it will be spectacular!

I am like you in that I love when other people do scrappy, but I need a bit more neutral in my life... aka "boatloads of grey" :) I haven't been tempted to jump on this new trendy quilt bandwagon but your version has definitely caught my eye. I can't wait to see how it comes together for you! Also I'd be lying if I said that I'm not a wee bit jealous of my cousin for winning your amazing giveaway! ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of economy block, monochromatic, I love it great idea. Grey is one of my favourite colours. The usual random scrappiness hurts my eyes & brain :-)
